You are
in the right place
for support

We FacilitatE Healing and growth,
Foster Self-Determination,
and create connections that last

Our therapists are here to facilitate with you an experience of growth and healing that intends to change your life to be better than just okay. We believe psychotherapy is all about helping clients meet their goals to not only feel and function better, but to pursue flourishing and optimal living.  With this in mind, our primary mission is to provide top quality therapy services to individuals, couples, relationships, families and groups throughout North Carolina.
You deserve top-quality therapy, and we are here to deliver!
All of our licensed therapists are trained and supervised in the latest science of effective psychotherapy practices, and are supported to cultivate and maintain strong and secure therapeutic relationships that center client goals, collaborate on ways to work together, and are always warm, validating and accepting.  Our therapists hold a relational stance that believes we are conditioned by our experiences of the past and present, doing what we think is best based on these experiences, and able to make changes to live more aligned with our values and intentions, and create secure relationships that are happy, healthy and durable.

We hold a philosophy of human living that we are meant to be better than “okay,” and that we are born basically good, with resiliency and strivings for growth wired in, and under the right relational conditions of affirmative accompaniment we transform suffering and rigid coping strategies into flourishing and flexible adaptive strategies. We are not blank-slate therapists, evaluative-controlling therapists, or anything-goes laissez-faire therapists.  In industry terms, we are relationally-oriented, humanistic, alliance-focused, and emphasize the therapist’s deliberate practice of interpersonal skills that foster hope, deepen emotional experience to access inner resources, emotional expression to deepen relational connections, and detect and repair ruptures.

We know that while it is common that significant others (i.e. parents and other caregivers, spouses and even friends) have conditioned us to coping alone with the fears and feelings of abandonment, rejection and/or loss, we also know the corrective power of therapeutic relationships that are emotionally accessible, responsive and engaged, that undo aloneness, and are transformative direct us towards being who we are meant to be at our core.
