Therapist Intro As a therapist, it is my honor to be a part of each client’s journey towards creating a fulfilling life in line with their personal values and therapeutic goals. I believe that everyone has the innate ability to heal when they have access to safety and support. Throughout treatment, I work to ensure clients have an accepting, empowering, and supportive environment to grow into the most authentic versions of themselves. I work with individuals aged 18+ and have experience working with eating disorders and disordered eating, acute and complex trauma, medical concerns and chronic illness, body image concerns, anxiety, depression, interpersonal relationship challenges, and life transitions and adjustments. I am especially passionate about recognizing the impact, cause, and exacerbation of challenges that systemic concerns create for clients. I am LGBTQ+ affirming and a Health at Every Size (HAES) aligned provider. I have lived experience with chronic health concerns and chronic illness and know how hard it is to navigate healthcare and medical systems that just don't get “it." I use this to bring a deep understanding and compassionate, individualized, and adaptive approach to addressing chronic illness and pain, meeting clients where their energy level and capacity is during treatment. I use a trauma-informed and integrated approach, drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), relational therapy, and others as appropriate to ensure that clients are receiving treatment that works best for them and meets them where they are. I also hold a post-graduate certification as a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist through the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals.
